Stay policies, in plain words
Read these before you pay. If anything is unclear, call us at (570) 555-0163.
Cancelling
Cancel 14 or more days before check-in for all of it back. Cancel 7 or more days before check-in for 50% back. After that, nothing is refunded. The refund goes back to the card you paid with. Guests who don’t arrive are not refunded. If an emergency or bad weather keeps you from coming, call us. We have never turned away someone with a real emergency, and a refund beyond these steps is our decision, not a promise.
What you pay
The price on the booking form is the whole price: nightly rates, any guest beyond two, and 9% lodging tax shown on its own line. There is no cleaning fee, resort fee or pet fee. You pay all of it online when you book, and we don’t keep a card on file.
Minimum stays
One night is fine most of the year. In fall color season, September 26 to October 25, stays are two nights or more and begin on a Friday or a Saturday. In the holiday week, December 26 to January 2, the minimum is three nights.
Check-in and checkout
Check-in is from 3 pm, checkout is by 11 am. The front desk is staffed from 8 am to 8 pm every day. After 7 pm, we send you a code for the key box; tell us on the booking form that you’ll be late.
Breakfast
Included, 8 to 9:30 in the stone room: a baked egg dish or oatmeal, fruit, scones and coffee. Tell us about allergies and diets when you book. Ours is a home kitchen, so we can’t promise a meal free of any one allergen.
Pets
Up to two dogs may stay in Sluice Cottage, with no fee. Please don’t leave them alone in the cottage, and keep them off the furniture. Dogs are not allowed in the other rooms, or inside the main house. Service animals are welcome everywhere.
Children
Children 6 and up are welcome in the main house and the Garden Rooms, and children of any age in the cottages. The cottages have no cribs; you’re welcome to bring your own.
Quiet and smoking
Quiet hours are 10 pm to 7 am. There is no smoking or vaping inside any building. A bench by the creek is for those who do.
Parking and charging
Parking is free beside each building. There is one Level 2 electric car charger by the carriage house, free for guests. Bring your own cable.
Bringing a dog
Up to two dogs stay free in Sluice Cottage
There is no pet fee. Dogs get a biscuit at the door, a water bowl on the porch and a fenced yard behind the cottage. The creek path is a good walk for them, but keep them leashed near the water. Orchard Cottage, the Garden Rooms and the Hayloft Suite are for people only.
